Expert Forum: Managing the Risks of a Global Workforce

As companies look to Asia as a recovery driver, they are relocating executives to the region in greater numbers. Away from familiar working environments, newly relocated staff, their families and business travelers may encounter increased and unfamiliar threats to their health and personal security. Risks include unfamiliar or inadequate healthcare systems, infectious diseases such as the H1N1 pandemic, natural disasters, crime and outbreaks of civil unrest.

• Mr. George Cooper, Practice Leader, Workplace Law & Advisory - Asia, Freehills. George is a senior lawyer based in Singapore who leads Freehills' Workplace Law & Advisory - Asia practice. George works with employers to identify and implement solutions to their workplace law and strategy issues across the Asia-Pacific region.
• Mr. John Kaye, Director, Client Management, CIEB EMEA, CIGNA International. A member of the senior leadership team at CIEB, John's primary responsibility is the strategic management of the global portfolio of clients; across EMEA. He has managed some of CIEB's largest groups; helping to develop market leading solutions to the increasingly complex issues faced by multi-national clients. John will provide insight into the healthcare related challenges in managing an internationally mobile workforce; and how the right medical insurance carrier can make a difference.
• Dr. Philippe Guibert, Medical Director, Health Programs, International SOS. Dr. Guibert has medical and legal oversight of healthcare programs managed by International SOS for large multinationals in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and is currently based in Paris.
