Seminar on Technical and Safety Requirement of Flow Study in Drainage Conduit & Pipes

Jointly organised by

Date, Time & Venue

Wednesday, 30 September 2009; 7:00pm to 8:00pm; Room 207-208, eTECH Centre, 412 Hennessy Road, Causeway Bay (Causeway Bay Campus of HKCT).

Programme Highlights

Flow study has a long history in Hong Kong. However, not many of us know about the exact requirements to carry out the surveys and the post survey data analysis. Also, due to the risk on working in confined space and working with high flow on open channel, it is important that operators are trained before works.

The talk will highlight both the technical and safety requirements for operators and the requirement for data processing professionals.

Speaker

Ir Jason LEUNG, Senior Engineer, Research & Development, Land Drainage Division, Drainage Services Department (DSD).

This seminar is free of charge and prior registration is not required. The number of participants is limited to 80 and the seats will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. For enquiries, please contact Ms Elley CHENG of HKIUS at Tel: 2494 5913 or by Fax: 2618 4500.
