Direct uses the people who undertook the technical upgrade of both the trainer and delegate materials on behalf of IOSH, the course designers have produced a new and much-improved package that we’re proud to have been a part of. At last, the tired old Managing Safely course has jumped, in one leap, into the 21st century. It’s practical, it’s interesting, its dynamic and, when presented by ourselves, its based on real-world examples, a realistic knowledge-base and practical tools and techniques. This IOSH-accredited course offers a broad and very practical introduction to a wide variety of health & safety management issues and concerns and is aimed at middle and first-line managers with direct responsibilities for local safety management.
The course equips managers such as these with the essential tools for developing both pro-active and re-active health & safety management systems that go beyond minimum legal requirements and promote good business practice. It does this by providing a framework to make health & safety management skills an embedded part of what is to be ‘a manager’. This is a 4-day course and covers a wide range of technical health & safety issues; practical sessions and action planning.
