Programme highlights:
Engineers involve in water works, disaster relief and thermal pollution control are well advised to learn about this disease. One of its causal bacteria is Vibrio vulnificans, which is a sea water bacterium. The consequence could be serious because massive necrosis of soft body tissue may occur, often requiring disfiguring removal of the diseased tissues. There is a one-third chance of dying should a person contract this disease. This seminar will provide timely information to our audience by updating the nature and symptoms of the virus, as well as what we can do to reduce the risk of contracting the deadly virus.

This seminar is free of charge and prior registration is required. Only on-line registration via http://www.uti.hk/ Participant number is limited to 100 on a first-come-first-served basis. For enquiries, please contact Ms Iris Choi at events@cpdc.hk.
