Mr. Nigel Heaton is the CEO of Human Applications Limited, a UK-based risk management organization. Nigel has worked in Hong Kong since 2002, helping design and deliver OSH systems. Nigel has worked in Europe, the Middle East, America and the Far East, delivering training and consultancy to a wide range of National and International clients. Nigel is a Fellow of Loughborough University, a Fellow of the Ergonomics Society, a Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, a Member of the International Institute of Risk Management and a Member of the Institute of Risk Management.
Programme Highlights
The talk will consider how some of the ideas proposed by Sun Tzu in the Art of War can be applied to OSH. It will outline 5 of the key Sun Tzu philosophies and consider how they can be used to drive excellence in OSH. The talk will draw examples from the real-world, considering how organizations have “won” the OSH battle and how organizations have failed.
